Dr. Ana Johnson is a Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Queen's University, affiliated with the School of Medicine and Faculty of Health Sciences. She holds cross-appointments as a Senior Adjunct Scientist at ICES (Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences) and is part of the Health Services and Policy Research Institute. Previously, she was a Canada Research Chair in Health Policy and held roles including former site director of the ICES Queen's Health Services Research Facility.
Her academic background includes a PhD in Health Economics from the University of Texas, a Master's in Economics from the University of Houston, and a BA in Economics from the University of Nottingham. She has held faculty positions at the Medical College of Wisconsin and McMaster University, where she received a CIHR Career Award.
Dr. Johnson's research focuses on economic evaluations of healthcare programs, cost-effectiveness analysis, decision-making frameworks in health policy, and resource allocation strategies.
