Ana Isabel Lopes is an Associate Professor at ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE-IUL), specializing in Accounting within the ISCTE Business School. She holds a PhD in Management and has extensive teaching experience across undergraduate, graduate, and executive training programs since 1993.
- Leadership Roles: Director of the Master's Program in Accounting and Management Control (ISCTE Business School) and Graduate Program in Applied Accounting and Finance (ISCTE Executive Education).
- Research Affiliations: Researcher at Brussels International School of Business (BRU-ISCTE) and Board Member of Grudis Accounting Research Network.
Her research focuses on financial and non-financial reporting, application of national/international accounting standards, and sustainability reporting. She has taught at institutions including NOVA SBE, ULHT-ECEO, and IPG-ESTG, and contributed to academic publications like the Australian Journal of Management and Accounting Education.
She has also collaborated with professional organizations (OCC and OROC), served as President of the APOTEC regional chapter, and authored/coordinated the book Foundations of Financial Accounting: Theory and Cases.
