Ana Côrtes is a Researcher III at the University of Bergen's Centre for Research on Discretion and Paternalism, focusing on the project 'Child Protection Systems Across the World.' She holds a PhD in Law from the University of Coimbra, a Master’s in Law and Development from the Getulio Vargas Foundation, and a Bachelor’s in Law from the University of São Paulo. Her research interests include human rights, legal mobilization, gender, sexuality, and vulnerable groups.
