Ana Aliverti is a Reader in Law at the School of Law, University of Warwick, where she directs the Criminal Justice Centre. Her research examines intersections between criminal law/justice and border regimes, focusing on their impact on national institutions and marginalized populations.
- Education: D.Phil. in Law (Oxford, 2012); M.Sc. in Criminology and Criminal Justice (Oxford, 2008); M.A. in Sociology of Law (I.I.S.L., 2005); B.A. in Law (Buenos Aires, 2002).
Her work integrates socio-legal theories, post-colonial frameworks, and globalization studies to analyze boundary-drawing practices in criminal justice. Current research involves ethnographic studies on UK migration policing and its implications for law enforcement.
Scientific engagements include editorial board memberships for Theoretical Criminology, Delito & Sociedad, and the Howard Journal of Crime and Justice. Awards include a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford.
