An Coosemans

An Coosemans is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, KU Leuven, and head of the Laboratory for Tumor Immunology and Immunotherapy. Their research focuses on ovarian cancer, glioblastoma, and uterine sarcoma, with emphasis on immune profiling, biomarker research, and preclinical immunotherapy testing.

• Current projects include NOSE2BRAIN (RNAi delivery to brain tumors) and BIOC study (ovarian cancer biomarkers)
• Active in European clinical trials and LKI Cancer Institute collaborations

Research topics span combinatorial immunotherapy, immune microenvironment analysis, and novel treatment strategies for solid tumors. Recent publications address cell-free DNA diagnostics, tertiary lymphoid structures, and TTFields/PARP inhibitor combinations in ovarian cancer.

They coordinate the Doctoral School Committee for Biomedical Sciences and serve on multiple academic councils at KU Leuven's Faculty of Medicine.
