Aníbal Arregui

Aníbal Arregui is a Lecturer at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology within the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Vienna. He also holds a Post-Doc position at the Department of Social Anthropology, University of Barcelona (since 2019), with prior postdoctoral work at the University of Rostock and Charles University/CEFRES.

• Research Focus: Environmental anthropology, anthropology of the body, multi-species ethnography, and Amazonian anthropology.
• Key Projects: Long-term ethnographic work with Amazonian ribeirinho and quilombola communities (since 2006), and the Wild Boar Project in Barcelona (since 2017).
