Amy Wagler

Dr. Amy Wagler is Professor of Public Health Sciences at the University of Texas at El Paso with joint appointments in Computational Science and the Border Biomedical Research Center. She conducts methodological and applied research in health and education data science, specializing in synthetic data generation for tabular data structures and developing approaches to correct bias in datasets. Her research spans graph theory modeling and machine/deep learning applications.

Wagler collaborates with multiple research groups including the El Paso Department of Public Health and Pacific Northwest National Labs, providing statistical and data science expertise. She serves as Principal Investigator for two funded biomedical and data science research training projects and co-investigator on five additional projects.
