Amy Shank

Amy Shank is an Associate Professor of Biology at Indiana Tech within the College of Arts and Sciences. She teaches 10 biological courses, focusing on biomedical engineering, biology, and exercise science students. Her expertise includes Anatomy & Physiology, Cell Biology, Immunology, and Pharmacogenomics. She is recognized for her cadaver-based teaching in anatomy courses and BME cadaver trials.

Education: Master of Biology, Bachelor of Biology, with certificates in Pharmacogenomics, Epigenetics, and Biochemistry.

Research interests emphasize applied biology education and anatomical studies. Her publications include lab manuals for Ivy Tech Community College (2009, 2014, 2015) and co-editing The Biology of Investing (2020). She advises the Biomedical Engineering Program and has 30+ years of teaching experience.
