Amy S Paller is the Chair of the Department of Dermatology and Director of the Skin Biology and Diseases Resource-Based Center at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. She holds the Walter J. Hamlin Professorship in Dermatology and is a Professor in Dermatology and Pediatrics. Her research focuses on inflammatory and genetic skin disorders, including psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and epidermolysis bullosa, with a particular emphasis on translational research and nanotechnology applications. She leads over 100 clinical trials, specializing in pediatric dermatology and innovative therapies.
Dr. Paller’s educational background includes an MS from Brown University (1974) and an MD from Stanford University (1978). Dr. Paller’s clinical trials focus on therapies for psoriasis, alopecia areata, and genetic skin disorders. She directs Northwestern’s Skin Disease Research Center and collaborates with institutions like the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative’s CZ Biohub Chicago.
