Amy Robertson

Amy Robertson is an Assistant Professor at Cumberland University’s Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions. She holds a B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Western Kentucky University, a B.S.N. and M.S.N. from Belmont University. Prior to her academic role, she worked for seven years as a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, focusing on genetics and genomic medicine. Her clinical research team contributed to the NIH-funded Undiagnosed Diseases Network.

Her career spans roles as a pediatric nurse at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, where she achieved RN Level 3 certification and Preceptor of the Year (2015). She is a member of the Tennessee Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society. She advocates for foster care families through her local church.
