Dr. Amy Pistone is an Associate Professor and Department Co-Chair of Classical Civilizations at Gonzaga University. She holds a Ph.D. in Classical Studies from the University of Michigan (2017) and a B.A. in Classical Languages from UC Berkeley (2008). Her research focuses on Greek tragedy, feminist theory, and the intersection of classical antiquity with modern issues such as social justice and pop culture. She actively promotes inclusive pedagogy and has published work on postcolonial reception of Greek tragedy and Amazon imagery in lesbian separatist communities.
