Amy Peeler is Professor of New Testament and Kenneth T. Wessner Chair of New Testament at Wheaton College, Illinois. She is also an Associate Rector at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Geneva, Illinois. Her academic journey began with a B.A. in Biblical Languages from Oklahoma Baptist University (2002), followed by an M.Div. (2005) and Ph.D. (2011) in New Testament from Princeton Theological Seminary. Additionally, she served as a Senior Research Fellow with the Logos Institute at the University of St. Andrews.

Amy specializes in the Epistle to the Hebrews, Theological Interpretation of Scripture, Theology of Gender, and the use of the Old Testament in the New. Her work explores feminist theology, Mariology, and theological language, often intersecting with her focus on pastoral epistles and early Christian ethics. She is particularly interested in how familial language in Hebrews informs theological anthropology and ecclesiology.
Her recent publications analyze Christology, intertextuality, and gender dynamics in biblical texts. Notably, she is researching a commentary on Hebrews with Eerdmans. Her presentations include lectures at Fuller Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and the Society of Biblical Literature's annual meeting.
