Amy L. Lewis, Ed.D., is an Associate Professor of Humanities at INTO George Mason University and serves as affiliate faculty in the Higher Education Program within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She has also taught at Mason Korea and for the Honors College, reflecting her broad engagement in global and interdisciplinary education.
Her academic work centers on international education, intercultural development, cultural studies, public humanities, and pedagogy. With over two decades of experience in public higher education and government, Dr. Lewis brings a rich professional background to her teaching and scholarship.
She is actively involved in key education associations, including NAFSA’s Embassy Dialogue Committee on Education (EDC), SIETAR-USA, and the Fulbright Association National Capital Area Chapter, contributing to national and international dialogues on education and intercultural exchange.
Dr. Lewis has taught a wide range of courses, including Transition Support for International Students, U.S. American Cultures, The Internationalization of Higher Education, and Art, Culture, and Soft Power, demonstrating her commitment to integrative and globally informed learning.
