Amy Krauss

Amy Krauss is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies at Simon Fraser University. She holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from Johns Hopkins University and a B.A. in Social Thought and Political Economy from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her research focuses on reproductive governance, feminist legal theory, and medical anthropology, with a particular emphasis on abortion access and healthcare justice in Latin America and the U.S.

Her recent work explores the role of abortion doulas in Mexico, anticapitalist ethics of care, and the intersection of law, medicine, and social justice. She has held postdoctoral fellowships at Princeton University, the University of Chicago, and the University of California, Santa Cruz.
