Amy Faivre

Amy Faivre is a Professor at Cedar Crest College's Science Center. She holds a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on tropical plant pollination, endangered plant conservation in wetland habitats, and evolutionary ecology. Notable fieldwork includes studies in Costa Rica, Panama's Barro Colorado Island (Smithsonian Institute), and Florida's Archbold Biological Station.

Teaching specialties include Botany, Conservation Biology, Evolution, and Ecology. She emphasizes field and lab observational skills, literature exploration, and fostering student inquiry. Professional memberships include the Botanical Society of America, Ecological Society of America, and Sigma Xi.
