Dr. Amy Blakeway is a Senior Lecturer in sixteenth-century Scottish history at the University of St Andrews. Her research examines political structures during the minority of Mary Queen of Scots, Anglo-Scottish relations, and the Scottish Reformation. Funded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh, her current project investigates Anglo-Scottish wars during Mary's minority, including educational workshops.
She previously held positions at the University of Kent and Cambridge, with fellowships at Huntington Library and IASH Edinburgh. Dr. Blakeway teaches courses on early modern history and serves as postgraduate advisor.
