Amir Mostaghim

Dr. Amir Mostaghim is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Criminology and Justice at Ontario Tech University's Faculty of Social Science and Humanities. His research focuses on youth cultural studies, examining how structural factors influence youth identity through leisure and consumption patterns. He holds a PhD from McMaster University and the University of Guelph, advised by scholars such as William Shafir and Andrew Hathaway. Current research includes analyzing police legitimacy across Canadian subcultures.
