Amir-Hossein Razavi

Amir-Hossein Razavi is a Part-Time Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Engineering. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (Machine Learning & NLP) from the University of Ottawa (2012) and a Master’s in Computer Software Engineering from Tehran University.

His research focuses on cybersecurity solutions leveraging AI, including cyber threat detection on big data platforms, generative AI applications, and graph-based analysis. He has over eight years of industry experience as a Senior Data Scientist, leading ML-based projects in user profiling, fraud detection, and cybersecurity at companies like Bell Canada and BlackBerry.

Current teaching includes undergraduate and graduate courses on secure systems design and cybersecurity fundamentals. His consulting work spans enterprise-level cybersecurity and NLP-driven analytics.
