Amelia Espey is a junior researcher at the Chair of Bioeconomy, University of Hohenheim, since August 2021. She holds a Master's in Agriculture, Food and Environmental Policy Analysis from the University of Bonn and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Her research focuses on modeling sustainable food consumption and adapting computable general equilibrium (CGE) models to study dietary shifts from conventional meat to alternative proteins.
Her master's thesis applied rational choice theory to analyze how food prices, wages, and non-wage income influence UK consumer food waste. She actively engages in community gardening and outdoor activities like running and biking.
