Ambrose Thaddeus

Prof. Ambrose Thaddeus serves as Director of the Institute of Sports Sciences at the Academy of Physical Education in Krakow, holding the rank of Professor in Physical Culture Sciences. His prolific career includes authorship of over 400 scientific papers (12,000+ MNiSW points, H-index 22), 14 monographs, and leadership in 21 research projects.

His research program focuses on two interconnected domains:

• Sports Training Theory: Investigating champion modeling, motor skill-environment interactions, and methodological control across artistic gymnastics, bodybuilding, swimming, soccer, and combat sports through training load analysis and performance progression metrics.
• Health-Activity Safety Systems: Examining recreational physical activity's relationship with health security, emphasizing threat counteraction in medical prevention, physiotherapy applications, and fitness safety protocols.

Professor Thaddeus has supervised eight doctoral dissertations to completion and serves as an active reviewer for academic promotions (14 doctoral, 2 habilitation, and 2 professorship proceedings). His translational research is evidenced by 9 patents and 2 utility models in sports science applications.

Beyond academia, he maintains elite practical credentials as a master-class combat sports coach alongside sailing/skiing instruction certifications, water rescue expertise, and yacht/motorboat captain licensure.
