Ambrose Cheung

Ambrose Cheung serves as Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Dartmouth College, where his research centers on the molecular regulation of virulence genes in Staphylococcus aureus—a critical human pathogen responsible for both community-acquired and hospital-based infections globally.

His scientific focus spans bacterial pathogenesis mechanisms with particular emphasis on:

• Microbial gene regulation networks
• Host-pathogen interactions in immunology
• Antimicrobial resistance development
• Virulence factor expression control
• Translational infectious disease research
• Staphylococcal toxin production pathways
