Amber Schaefer

Amber Schaefer is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Texas A&M University. She coordinates organic chemistry laboratory courses (CHEM 237, 238, and 234) and teaches CHEM 234, a writing-intensive laboratory course for chemistry majors. Her work emphasizes integrating electronic assignments and modern research techniques into laboratory education. She also mentors teaching assistants to enhance their instructional effectiveness.

Dr. Schaefer holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rice University (2007). Her research interests focus on improving laboratory pedagogy and fostering student engagement through innovative experimental design.
