Amazon Doble

Dr. Amazon Doble is a Research Fellow at the Peninsula Dental School within the Faculty of Health at the University of Plymouth. She holds a BSc in Biomedical Science and a PhD from the same institution, focusing on the relationship between hypertension and periodontal disease, with a particular emphasis on the oral microbiome. Her current research involves a clinical trial examining the maintenance of periodontal health using 67% sodium bicarbonate and fluoride toothpaste. She is also involved in studies related to oral health in smoking, mouthwash efficacy, and women's health through the University's Oral Microbiome Research Group.

Education: BSc Biomedical Science and PhD in Periodontal Disease Research (both from University of Plymouth).

Research Interests: Dr. Doble's work bridges clinical and microbiological aspects of oral health, with a focus on translational research to improve preventive and therapeutic strategies.
