Amander Clark is a Professor of Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she serves as Founding Director of the UCLA Center for Reproductive Science, Health and Education. Her research integrates stem cell biology, reproductive science, and epigenetics to engineer models of reproductive organs and study fertility mechanisms.
Clark's work focuses on human and primate primordial germ cell development, DNA methylation dynamics, and ovarian engineering. She leads the International Society for Stem Cell Research as its 2023-2024 President and contributes to science policy through the National Academies of Science Engineering and Medicine Board of Health Sciences Policy. Her laboratory's innovations include rhesus macaque induced pluripotent stem cell lines and protocols for germ cell-like cell induction.
