Amanda Williams

Dr. Amanda Williams is a part-time Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography at the University of Chester, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. Her research focuses on glacial geomorphology, sedimentology, and Quaternary environments, with recent work exploring the Late Devensian glaciation of Anglesey and glacial retreat in Norway’s Jostedalsbreen. She also emphasizes pedagogical innovations in decolonizing physical geography curricula and promoting geoethics.

Teaching responsibilities include modules such as Earth and Environment, Climate Change, and Anthropocene, alongside supervising student research proposals. Her certifications include the Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (2013).

Research interests extend to interdisciplinary topics like environmental justice and inclusion in geography education. She collaborates with the Sustainability and Environment Research Institute and is available for academic partnerships, teaching, and advisory roles.
