Amanda Tayler is a Senior Lecturer at Staffordshire University’s Institute of Education, within the Health, Education, Policing and Sciences school. She currently leads the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies program and teaches undergraduate modules. Her roles include supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, supporting recruitment and outreach for the Institute of Education, and serving as an external examiner for multiple universities.
Her academic qualifications include a current Professional Doctorate in Education, Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), and an MA in Early Childhood Studies. She holds the Early Years Professional Status and a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.
Research interests focus on early years workforce reform, professional development of educators, child development, and speech and language challenges in young children. Tayler’s career spans roles in early childhood education settings, including a 10-year tenure as a parent helper in a preschool and five years as Course Leader for a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Studies at a partner college.
