Amanda Solaiman

Amanda Solaiman is a Senior Lecturer in Formulation Sciences at the University of Sunderland. She is a registered pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and a member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) and other professional bodies. Her academic career spans teaching roles in MPharm Pharmacy, BSc Biopharmaceutical Science, BSc Cosmetic Science, and postgraduate programs like MSc Drug Development and MSc Pharmaceutical Formulations.

Research interests include:

• Enhancing drug delivery through solid dosage forms (tablets, capsules)
• Development of natural skincare formulations
• Physical/chemical characterization of hydroxypropyl methylcellulose capsule shells
• Formulation optimization using multilevel factorial design
