Amanda Shapiro

Dr. Amanda Shapiro is an Associate Lecturer and Researcher in Veterinary Pharmacology at The Sydney School of Veterinary Science (SSVS), University of Sydney. She holds a BVSc (Dean’s Medal) from the University of Pretoria and a PhD from the University of Sydney (supervised by Prof. Jacqueline Norris). Her career includes roles in small animal practice, technical support at a pharmaceutical company, and research at the University of New South Wales in pediatric gastroenterology. Her current research focuses on xenobiotics in diverse species and teaching veterinary pharmacology principles.
