Amanda Ritson is an Academic Tutor at the University of Sunderland’s Northern Centre of Photography, within the School of Creative Arts. She serves as Manager of the North East Photography Network (NEPN), a role she has held since 2009, which focuses on commissioning photographic projects, fostering regional and international collaborations, and supporting professional development in the photographic community. Her work includes curating exhibitions like Observe Experiment Archive and leading initiatives such as SHIFTS and Sunderland ’73: The People’s Visual History. She also co-commissions the We Feed The UK project and coordinates the UKRI AHRC-supported Museum Dialogues research project.
