Amanda NeMoyer is Assistant Research Professor at Drexel University and Director of Research in the Juvenile Justice Research & Reform Lab. She holds a JD from Drexel's Kline School of Law and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Drexel. Her work focuses on diverting youth from justice systems, dismantling school-to-prison pipelines, and reducing racial disparities.
She develops evidence-based alternatives to detention through partnerships with legal agencies. Current projects include the Philadelphia Police School Diversion Program evaluation, demonstrating reduced arrests and improved school outcomes. Funded by Arnold Ventures and NIH, she has published over 40 papers on juvenile justice reform.
