Amanda Metcalfe

Amanda Metcalfe serves as Lecturer in the College of Education at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, with complementary responsibilities as Assistant Professor at the United States Air Force Academy. Her interdisciplinary work connects behavioral science, leadership education, and international gender studies.

Dr. Metcalfe's research focuses on:

• Feminist security strategies in post-conflict regions
• Trauma-informed counseling methodologies
• Military family support systems
• Gender equity in command structures
• Cross-cultural leadership development

Her fieldwork extends to conflict zones and regions with progressive gender policies, including Cuba, Iraq, Palestine, Iceland, Rwanda, Namibia, Uganda, Serbia, and Slovenia. She applies clinical expertise to support veterans, military personnel, and survivors of sexual trauma through community-based initiatives.
