Amanda Haverhals

Amanda Haverhals is an Associate Professor and Head of the BSN Program at the Nylen School of Nursing, Morningside University. She holds a DNP from Morningside University, an MSN in Education from Grand Canyon University, and a BSN from Morningside College. Her roles include teaching in both traditional and online nursing programs, coordinating the online degree completion program, and serving as an AACN peer reviewer and Essentials Champion. She participates in leadership initiatives like the AACN’s Elevating Leaders program and has secured grants for research.

Her doctoral work focused on enhancing peer feedback in nursing education, published in the Journal of Nursing Administration. She presents at conferences such as AACN’s Transform Conference and the Avera Research Conference. Professional memberships include Sigma Theta Tau and the Iowa League of Nurses.

Awards include the 2024 AACN leadership program and a 2021 research grant. Her research emphasizes evidence-based teaching strategies and nursing administration.
