Amanda Datnow

Amanda Datnow is a Professor and Chancellor’s Associates Endowed Chair in the Department of Education Studies at UC San Diego, and serves as Associate Dean of the School of Social Sciences. Her work focuses on educational reform, equity, and professional lives of educators, with emphasis on data-driven instruction, teacher collaboration, and leadership. She earned a B.A. from UCSD and a Ph.D. in Education from UCLA. Datnow is engaged in research-practice partnerships with local districts and global educational organizations, aiming to bridge research and policy for equitable outcomes.
