Dr. Amanda Coffie is a Research Fellow at the Legon Center for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD), University of Ghana, where she focuses on post-conflict development and non-state actors. She was awarded the Cambridge African Partnership for Research Excellence (CAPREx) Grant for post-doctoral studies at Cambridge University.
Her research examines the agency of refugees, African diaspora, transnationals, stateless persons, and migrants in international relations. She serves as Editor for the Legon Journal for International Affairs and Diplomacy and sits on editorial boards including Review of International Studies.
She holds governance roles as Council Member and Fellow at the Centre for Social Justice Ghana, Board Director at Parliamentary Network Africa, and previously served on the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation Governing Board (2015-2017). She maintains academic collaborations through the LERRN project led by Carleton University.
