Amanda Burk

Amanda Burk is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Visual Arts Department at Brock University. She holds a BA Honours Studio Specialization from the University of Waterloo and an MFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD). Her studio practice focuses on drawing, and her research explores studio-based pedagogy and contemporary Canadian drawing. Burk is a research associate of the NSCAD Drawing Lab, collaborating on studies like The Effects of Language and Schema on Drawing Performance. Her artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally, with pieces in collections such as the Thunder Bay Art Gallery and the City of Toronto.
