Amanda Berry

Amanda Berry is a Teaching Professor in Enterprise Education and the Academic Lead for Student and Graduate Enterprise at Loughborough Business School, Loughborough University. She holds a BSc from the University of Warwick and a PhD from the University of Manchester. Prior to academia, she spent over a decade in the pharmaceutical industry, including nine years at AstraZeneca as a senior research scientist and project discipline lead, where she supervised placement students and led cross-departmental efficiency initiatives using lean methodologies.

Her academic focus centers on entrepreneurship and enterprise education, with involvement in research groups like International Business, Strategy and Innovation. She teaches modules including 'Skills for Study, Placement & Employment', 'Managing Innovation', and 'Small Business Planning'. A key initiative is the Year in Enterprise programme, enabling undergraduate students to launch their own start-ups during their placement year.

Amanda integrates her industry expertise into curriculum development, emphasizing practical business skills and innovation. Her work bridges academic teaching and real-world entrepreneurial challenges, fostering student engagement through experiential learning.
