Amanda Arevalo is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of Physical Therapy at Hawai'i Pacific University's Graduate College of Health Sciences. She contributes to the development of the DPT education program remotely. Dr. Arevalo holds a B.S. in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and both an M.S. and D.Sc. in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Oklahoma.
Her clinical practice spans 22 years, focusing on pediatric physical therapy for children with cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes, spina bifida, autism, and developmental delays. She is Board-Certified as a Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy. Dr. Arevalo actively volunteers with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), serving as the IL State Pediatric Advocacy Liaison and contributing to national conferences, faculty forums, and guest lectures on early intervention and cultural competency.
Her scholarly work includes a textbook chapter on pediatric physical therapy and peer-reviewed publications in Pediatric Physical Therapy.
