Alyssa Hamilton is an Adjunct Professor in the English Department at STAC. She returned to her alma mater in 2019 to teach courses like Writing About American Literature, Creative Writing, and Advanced Fiction Workshop. Her research focuses on experimental fiction, flash fiction, American Gothic literature, and marvelous realism.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree from STAC (English major, Writing minor)
- MFA in Creative Writing from Reinhardt University
Research & Awards: Her work explores innovative narrative forms and has earned accolades including the Faculty Choice Award and Driscoll Prize. Her writing appears in journals like Stonecoast Review and Wyvern Lit.
Future Goals: Aims to pursue full-time college teaching, publish a short story collection/novella, and launch a literary magazine or press.
