Aly Abdalla

Aly Abdalla is an Assistant Research Professor (full-time) and Part-time Teaching Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University. He earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Mississippi State University (2023), an M.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport (2019), and a B.S. from the same institution (2014). His research focuses on wireless communication and networking, with expertise in UAV communications, O-RAN, wireless security, and reconfigurable intelligent surfaces.

He contributes to the IEEE P1954 standards group for UAV communications and has published extensively in top IEEE venues. His work bridges theoretical innovation with practical testbed development, including prototypes for next-generation wireless systems.
