Alwin van Dijk

Dr. mr. Alwin van Dijk is a Lecturer at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, Faculty of Law, University of Groningen. His academic career spans criminal law, traffic offences, and legal philosophy, with a focus on the intersection of law and psychology.

Research Interests: Van Dijk specializes in criminal liability, justification of punishment, and the application of rational choice theory to criminal intent. His work addresses serious traffic offences, sexual offences, and the ethical implications of the presumption of innocence.
