Alper Nakkas

Alper Nakkas is an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems and Operations Management department at the University of Texas at Arlington's College of Business. His research centers on retail operations, supply chain management, and behavioral operations. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Vanderbilt University (2010) and has held positions at NOVA School of Management (Portugal), SKK Graduate School of Business (South Korea), and visiting appointments at MIT Sloan and McGill University.

Research interests include: game-theoretic approaches to supply chain coordination, category management strategies, retail collaboration practices, and revenue optimization. His work examines operational decisions in competitive retail environments.

Publications consistently explore game-theoretic models of retailer-supplier relationships, pricing strategies, and inventory management. Recent work focuses on slotting fees, operational decision rights allocation, and reproducibility in management research.
