Dr. Allison Stedman is a Professor of French & Francophone Studies and Coordinator of the French Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNC Charlotte). She holds positions as Advisor for French Minors and Director of the LANG Honors Program within the College of Humanities & Earth and Social Sciences (CHESS). Her research focuses on 17th-century French literature, the mind-body connection in early modern France, and hybrid literary forms, with expertise in gender studies, literature and medicine, and translation.
