Allison Roberts is an Associate Lecturer in Ornithology at the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences, Charles Sturt University. She combines her expertise in wild bird rehabilitation, ornithology fieldwork, and academic qualifications to teach ornithology subjects. Her roles include Honeyeater and Insectivore Coordinator and primary Bird Rehabilitation Trainer for Wildcare Australia on the Gold Coast since 2009. She has been involved with the Queensland Bird Research and Banding Group since 2013, contributing to citizen science initiatives.
Education includes a B.Sc.Eng, B.Sc (Literature), Graduate Certificates in Specialty and Information Technology, and a GradDip in Ornithology (completed 2020). She is affiliated with Birdlife Australia, Australian Bird Study Association, and Birds Queensland. Research interests focus on avian conservation, captive husbandry techniques, and wildlife rehabilitation practices.
