Allison Kempen

Allison Kempen is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Loras College, specializing in medicinal chemistry. Her research bridges organic chemistry and biochemistry to develop biologically-active small molecules for pharmaceutical applications.

Her work focuses on organic synthesis techniques like heterocycle formation to create kinase inhibitors targeting cancer and inflammatory diseases. She teaches organic chemistry, general chemistry, and junior seminars for chemistry and biochemistry majors.
