Allen Hyde

Allen Hyde is an Associate Professor in the School of History and Sociology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in stratification and inequality, urban sociology, work and occupations, climate and disaster resilience, and immigration. His research explores intersections of race, ethnicity, and disaster policy, with a focus on marginalized populations.

Hyde earned his Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Connecticut and has published in journals like Social Science Research and Environmental Sociology. He leads the Institute for People and Technology's initiative on responsible technologies.
