Allen Hays

Allen Hays serves as a Lecturer in the Teacher Education department within Arkansas State University's College of Education and Behavioral Science, where he also directs the A-State Delta STEM Education Center. His work focuses on advancing STEM pedagogy and teacher preparation across the Arkansas Delta region through university-school partnerships.

His research and professional activities center on STEM Education with emphasis on practical classroom applications in science and mathematics. He develops curricula and professional development programs targeting K-12 educators, particularly in underserved communities, to enhance instructional quality and student engagement in STEM disciplines.

As Director of the Delta STEM Education Center, Hays leads regional initiatives connecting university resources with local school districts. These programs include teacher workshops, resource distribution networks, and collaborative projects aimed at building sustainable STEM education infrastructure in rural Arkansas communities.
