Dr. Alla Konnikov is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE), affiliated with the Department of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Arts. Her expertise focuses on the sociology of work, international migration, gender, and intersectionality, with recent work examining AI's impact on labor market inequalities. She holds a PhD from the University of Calgary (2019), an MA from the University of Haifa (2010), and a BA in Sociology/Anthropology and Communication (2007).
Research interests include labor market dynamics, immigrant integration, gendered career trajectories, and the application of quantitative/qualitative methods. She teaches courses on work sociology, migration, inter-group relations, and social statistics.
