Alka Mallik is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, specializing in lymphoma and lung, breast, and colon cancers. She is a member of the Division of Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Mallik completed her bachelor's degree in biological sciences at Stanford University, earned her medical degree from UT Southwestern, and completed residency in internal medicine there. She furthered her training through a hematology and medical oncology fellowship at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, serving as Chief Fellow and contributing to translational research in the Melnick Lab.
Her research focuses on malignant and benign hematology, including hemostasis, thrombosis, and lymphoma therapeutics. She actively participates in clinical trials, lectures for residents and medical students, and is dedicated to medical education. Dr. Mallik is board-certified in hematology and medical oncology, and joined UT Southwestern faculty in 2022. She is affiliated with the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Mallik enjoys photography and travel, and is fluent in Hindi.
