Alistair Rieu-Clarke

Professor Alistair Rieu-Clarke is a Professor at the School of Law, Northumbria University, specializing in international law, sustainable development, and transboundary water governance. His research focuses on legal frameworks for managing transboundary water resources, with projects spanning Europe, Africa, Central America, and Southeast Asia. Since 2017, he has served as a legal advisor to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), contributing to SDG 6.5.2 (transboundary water cooperation) and the Water Convention's reporting mechanisms.
