Dr. Alison Wheatley is an Associate Professor Emeritus in the Department of English at Kansas State University, where she served for 36 years. She held roles such as Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Issues in the College of Arts and Sciences from 2002 until her retirement in May 2022. She earned her A.B. in English from Barnard College (1974), M.A. (1980), and Ph.D. (1994) in English from the University of Virginia.
Her research focuses on Modernist British Literature, particularly Joseph Conrad’s plays and narrative style, as well as classical to modern drama. She has published in journals like Conradiana, Journal of Narrative Theory, and Mosaic.
